Making God's Word my Opinion

The Merrium Webster Dictionary defines opinion as a view, judgment, or appraisal formed in the mind about a particular matter. My view, judgment or appraisal in my mind about a particular matter needs to be based on God’s Word, which has not always been the case. I have formed opinions based on various influences from people, experiences, education, as well as other things. However, I have found that it is God’s Word that holds true and it is God’s Word that changes people, including myself. Therefore, I have learned to make God’s Word my opinion because that is the opinion that always matters and matters the most. And God’s Word always matches and depicts God’s opinion.
Romans 12:2 NLT informs us: “Do not copy the behavior and customs of this world but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” I learn the way I am to think and how I am to form my opinions based on God’s Word. I go to God’s Word for my answers and let God’s Word make the necessary changes in my mind. When people express their opinions, I need to express God’s Word over any opinion I may have. And I believe God’s Word over any other opinions. When I see something on social media or hear something from news reports, God’s Word needs to be my opinion regardless. God’s Word even determines how or if I am to respond.
Opinions can continually be shaped and changed; however, God’s Word never changes. God’s ways and thoughts are higher than man’s, so my opinion needs to be higher by being based on God’s Word. My opinion needs to be based on what never changes. Ephesians 4:14 EASY tells us: “So then we will not be like children anymore. Our minds will not become confused by stranger ideas. We will not change what we believe, from one thing to another. Some people teach things that are not true. They do clever things to deceive people. But we will not agree with their false message.” People can voice their opinions forming a trap set up by our enemy satan. We remain firm and on solid ground when we base our opinions on God’s Word. Things may move and shake, changing all around us, but when we form our opinions according to God’s Word, we remain secure, steady, and unwavering.
Why not have an opinion which is always true? Why not form an opinion which sets you apart? John 17:17 TPT says: “Your Word is truth! So, make them holy by the truth.” We are made holy, we are made set apart from this world through the truth, which is God’s Word. No other opinion will or can do that except God’s Word. Why not make God’s Word your opinion and make it the opinion you so freely want and do share with others? Make God’s Word your opinion and see how your mind lines up with how your mind was always created to view, judge, and appraise any topic and situation.
